Article 4(1) of the new law explicitly extends its application to any person having its registered office at the DIFC and employing one or more persons; any person residing within the DIFC or normally working in or from the DIFC; or any person who has agreed in an employment contract to be subject to the new law. The new law recognizes secondment, part-time and short-term employment. Please contact a member of our team if you need support to verify your existing employment contracts and personnel policies or to advise you on your obligations under the new DIFC Labour Act.
